My stay at Score Valley Retreat was delightful. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable, featuring a lovely king-size bed and a quaint little fridge. Breakfast was plentiful with several options to choose from, and the gardens were beautiful, providing a serene atmosphere.
A bit isolated from town.

Charming character of the house adds unique appeal.
I felt a bit isolated. the walk to town is quite long and dark at night. We had an unfortunate incident with rude staff regarding our dog, which made our stay uncomfortable. There seemed to be a lack of understanding about their dog-friendly policy, leading to a frustrating experience during breakfast.

Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired, with reports of dusty surfaces and outdated bathrooms, leaving one guest facing issues with a lukewarm shower and dirty amenities. There were also issues concerning bed comfort, with several people criticizing the quality of the mattresses, which several found too hard, making for uncomfortable sleep.

Charming character of the house stood out. The honesty bar provided a cozy vibe for relaxing evenings. Breakfast offerings were diverse and delicious, with plenty of options to start the day right. The garden views were stunning and created a serene atmosphere. I appreciated the clean and comfortable room, especially the king-size bed that ensured a restful night. Watch out for the tricky sharp bend on the main road leading to the property. it's something to consider when driving, especially late at night. It can feel a bit isolated if walking to town, as the path gets dark quickly. it's a lovely retreat for those seeking peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle.

A cozy secret hideaway!
This place is so chill! We loved the comfy room, and the breakfast was delish. The grounds are peaceful, with pretty gardens and wildlife all around. Just beware, it gets super dark on the walk back to town, so having a car is def a plus. The honesty bar was a cute touch for evening relax time!

Couple seeking an escape
The owners, Donna and Phil, are incredible hosts, going above and beyond with their service! ! They even let us leave our car there while we explored the area, which was a big plus for us.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but given the quality, I can’t complain.
